baby has reflux and constipation should I change formula?

gaviscon is causing constipation but needs it as has reflux

baby is on aptimol, would aptimol comfort help?

Are you thinking of comfort a well as gaviscon? If so, I'd say it could make the constipation worse. I think it's a thickened formula.

DS was on Gaviscon, now on Ranitadine because the constipation was so awful.

You could try giving a couple of ounces of water a day, that did help us.

changing to comfort made a big difference to ds, it is thicker than the normal aptamil and i found he drunk it more slowly which definitely helped the reflux. you will need bigger teats, especially with gaviscon added it wont come through a size 1 teat. i found it also helped his digestion and he pooed more. he had suffered with terrible wind before the comfort and his farts smelled like an old mans :) but it was definitely more normal after we changed.
