HELP, pain in boob

As above, dd is 1 year old, breastfed ds till 2 with no probs.
My left nipple is so so sore, thought maybe dd teething as always a bit sore when cutting teeth, but this evening it's agony, throbbing and shooting pains going from boob down to nipple.
Was crying feeding earlier it's that sore, what will I do, any idea what it could be?

Maybe Thrush? I had thrush and at first i thought my nipples felt sore but after a while i realised it felt more like a burning sensation with the shooting pains etc. Any white spots in your dd's mouth? Red/pink (more than normal) nipples? itchy?

Was thinking maybe that, no sign in dd mouth though.
She is going to want fed again shortly and I don't know if I can bear it.
Will go to Dr tomorrow but know from experience they not a clue about anything breastfeeding related.

My baby had no white marks either but i got the itching too. The pain felt like he'd been latching on wrong but i kept checking and all was fine. If the dr does give you something for thrush make sure you get something for baby too. My dr just gave me some cream i had to tell him i needed something for baby too otherwise he wouldnt of bothered.

Could it be a blocked duct? Is the breast red and swollen? Sorry got to go but some info here

Yeah that's what it feels like, that she not latched properly, think she knows how to do it at this stage though so not that.

I've just had thrush and couldn't tell the nipple pain apart from poor latch, but the deep breast pain was extra iykwim.
