Mixing expressed milk

My HV has told me that I cannot mix EBM from different days in the same bottle to feed - so Mondays milk in one bottle and feed and then Tuesdays milk in another. I don't get much out so would not ever have enough from one day to make up a full feed for my LO. Is this correct? I know the oldest milk would dictate how long it would keep for but this just seems odd to me!

HV is wrong.

As you say, you can mix but then go by the date of the oldest milk. If you fed bottles from 4 consecutive days one after another to make one feed (as HV recommends) the the milk would still mix in the stomach Confused

HV is wrong. Kellymom handling & storage guidelines may be of interest.
