Five poos in two hours - normal or a problem?

Hi,

My DS is 6 weeks old and has had five very dirty nappies in the last two hours. He is bf and everything else seems normal - mustard colour etc. I'm probably just being a paranoid first time mum but am just looking for reassurance really.

Any input appreciated.

Hi sounds normal to me. My DS pooped out a bit with every fart at that age.

If the poo looks normal and he doesn't seem to be in any pain it is probably fine. Some poo a lot and some seem to save it all up!

Thank you both. No more since so I think he's fine.

Like browniebear, my dd poos like it's going out of fashion, at it's worst half a dozen mini-poos just on the changing table.
