BF baby vomiting during feeds

DS is 4 weeks old and breast fed. So far he has been content and feeding well, if rather vomity sometimes. The vomiting wasnt bothering me though as it didnt bother him, wasnt projectile, was large volumes but only about once a day, and he has been gaining weight fast with loads of wet and dirty nappies.

Now though he has been vomiting DURING feeds. Twice Sunday evening, once yesterday evening and once 7am today. He just suddenly vomits mid suck, covering my boob, his face, the chair, my leg. One time it completely covered his head and went in both his eyes.

I think I have quite a fast let down, he sometimes chokes on it, but this is happening late in the feed not early on.

Its a bit distressing (for me, he doesnt mind) but should I worry?

There are many possible causes for this, but in my DS's case it was an intolerance for dairy.
He used to vomit during or after every feed. He still gained weight and never seemed very uncomfortable, but he was incapable of holding a feed down.
I cut all dairy from my diet and he was cured 24 hours later.
He is now 2 years old and has been eating all dairy products himself with no ill effects since I weaned him at 14 months.
You might want to consider this as one possible cause in your case too.

Its not every feed though. More like a really big vomit once or twice a day. Worth a try I guess if it only takes 24 hours.
