Can anyone advise? My baby is 5 mths old and has been on aptamil comfort milk for 3.5 mths due to bad trapped wind etc but have been told that he will have to go on hungry baby formula before I wean him. Is this correct and if so should I change to aptamil 1 before so his digestive system can get used to something that is a bit more difficult than the comfort milk to digest? or just try introducing aptamil one on a few feeds to get digestive tract used to digesting harder formula?

No reason why you need to change to hungry baby at all Confused Did whoever told you this say why?

DS has been on easy digest since 4 weeks and is now 6.5 months and eating well (he is still having 4 bottles of easy digest a day btw). Hungry baby made him really windy and uncomfortable when i tried him on it at 3 weeks and even a couple of weeks ago when i had to buy an emergency ready made carton when i was out, he was awful for the whole day after it with wind and discomfort.

I agree with happylittlebear - seems odd advice.

You could ask for a second opinion.
