What dose fluconazole for thrush?

The doc gave me 11 x 50mg tablets, telling me to take two on the first day, and then one thereafter.

Reading Dr Jack Newman's site, he says you need 150mg at least everyday, and could need to treat for weeks.

What were other people here prescribed?

I'm guessing I'm going to need a fair bit more, as I only have 3 tablets left and no sign of the thrush departing.

I took 3 on first day and one for 7 days after. That is what was recommended on breastfeeding network site.

If it's not going go back to dr but for what it's worth I also had bacterial infection - could this be you? Dr said two have similar symptoms and my first treatment for thrush didn't work either so ended up having more fluconazole and antibiotics. All fine after that.

V painful so hope you get sorted soon.
