Just looking for some advice on whether I can complain or something, I don't really know I'm just banging my head against a brick wall.
As some of you may know I have been having problems upping my supply in the afternoons and after trying everything else my BF councellor suggested I may benefit from domperidrone (sp?) as I am determined to keep BF if possible.
So I went to the GP last night to ask for a prescription and basically she refused and told me just to give formula, I explained my situation and the advice she gave was ridiculous, she went on to tell me that when she breastfed she just ate lots of nuts and drank a lot of milk and it improved her supply and refused to give me chemicals that will be passed onto the baby, even though I did question why chemicals through breastmilk was worse then chemicals in formula as surely the pros of immunity etc out weigh the cons?
However she did give me a list of side effects to back up her refusal so I can kind of see why but I was under the impression that it is fairly safe to take, am I wrong?
I'm really at a loss on what to do now as I don't want to give a bottle yet and I have tried to up my supply with every other method, so one last shot is asking you guys.
Please help.
