could smeone please tell me if it's normal that my daughter has only eaten 3oz in the last 7 hrs!!!
i had to change her formula 2 days ago cos she was getting constipated and it is thicker than the previous formula, she also hasn't pooed in 2 days so don't know if this is a contributing factor!!
she is still in good form!

Not teething? My boy is 17 weeks, started teething this week and completely refused the bottle or breast til we started using dentinox. Now when we look at him its obvious but it wasnt to start with.

well she has taken to chomping on her fists and spitting a lot, is this teething?
i took her to the doc and they said its the changing of formula that has put her off! i still am not happy though :( Hmm

Could be the start, though I think all babies find their hands with their mouth around this time. Other signs would be one or both red cheeks, clingy, dribbling worse, also nappy rash. I'm only going on my experience (of 1 baby 4 weeks ahead of yours)but it couldnt hurt to try some teething stuff on her gums a few minutes before offering the bottle? It made an instant difference with Boy so you should know more or less straight away if it is teething. At least you could rule it out anyway.

Afraid I have no experience with constipation, ours have tended toward the frequent and explosive (his, not mine Grin). I cant see that little babies are really all that fussy about brands if they are hungry. Surely thats a taught thing older babies start to develop?

Anyway I would be inclined to rule out the physical possibilities first.

Hope it settles down for you. Smile

Jenny how is she getting on now? Is she taking any more? Has it improved her constipation?

If you at all concerned please ring your HV today.
