title says it all really. am BFing DS who is now 10 weeks old. everything had been going really well until the past fewdays. for no obvious reason he has started having mega awfuk inconsolable screaming fits 2 or 3 times a day. usually before he would usually feed and he gets himself so upset he screams worse if i put him near the breast. takes about 45 mins to calm him down to feed. does the same later at night when i think overtired and fighting sleep. been in tears most of day as no idea what to do. seems well otherwise no temp etc. any help gratefully received. sorry bad typing doing it one handed.

You are only tired and there is nothing wrong with the child. This is one of those moments that you just have to grind your teeth and solder on. If it still carries on go and ask the doc to have a look or hv.

Call people to come and help now if you can. If you cant, dont do anything other than bare minimum so that you will just survive. It will be OK in few days and in couple of weeks there will be smth else to worry about.

Poor you, and well done for sticking with breastfeeding, your son is very lucky! Maybe you both need to relax? It might be part of (or all of) the problem. Co-sleeping is a great solution... Get into bed, let him feed for as many hours as he likes, whenever he likes. You can sleep while he feeds, and ejoy those lovely baby cuddles! I'm sure you'll both benefit from some loving snuggly time in bed. And maybe you can ask your partner or somebody to wait on you like you are a princess? Snacks, herbal teas, foot rubs, the lot!

maybe he is hungry? I would try feeding him a bit earlier to see if you can stave off the tantrums that way.
