What should a 9mo drink EBM from?

I am soon to return to work, just 2 days per week, and dd currently has 3 breastfeeds; on waking, before bed, and one mid afternoon (none at night). I can of course continue the morning and evening feeds around work, but my question relates to the afternoon feed. She has on occasion missed this feed, but generally will be quite keen on it, and gulp it down. I think it's too soon to drop it altogether, as she has recently dropped a little on her centile line (around 9th), isn't too keen on solids, and was ill recently.

So, should this be offered in a bottle or a sippy cup? She happily drinks water with her meals, but I hold the cup for her. She has on occasion had a bottle of EBM, but not for a long time, and not recently. She has 4 teeth if that's relevant. I'd heard that after the age of 1 year it's better they don't use bottle because of damaging their teeth.

TIA.

That's great, thanks MrsPickles! Think I'll give it a try before I start work so I know she'll be ok.

I would not introduce a bottle at this stage, especially just for 2 feeds a week.

If she really will not drink it from a doidy or sippy cup for 2 days a week, an extra yogurt and some water at that time would be ok instead.

Try not to do the bottle. I foolishly weaned my DD onto a bottle from breast at 13mo and am now having serious problems getting her off it (she's now 2.3yo).

Next baby is going straight from boob to cup!

Thanks for the replies, cup it is then! Good point about having a yoghurt or something too, handy if for some reason I don't express. Is the doidy cup good then? I imagine it could get messy, perhaps when she's a bit older?

I stopped bfing DD at 9 months and she just had a sippy cup or a beaker with a straw (although I understand she was unusual at drinking from a straw at this age but worth a try?)

That's interesting about the straw, would never have thought to try that. Sounds very clean! Was that with formula then, or ebm?
