DS, 6 weeks, poo question ...

DS has been doing on average 9 dirty nappies a day since birth, but in the last few days it's cut right down to about 2 in the last 72 hours. He is EBF.

Is this anything to worry about or is it possible that he's simply using all the milk he gets to fuel his growth, and so there's no waste IYSWIM?

I'd say he's probably using it all up - ds did the same. As long as he's not straining or crying when he does go.

I could tell by your question it would be pooing less often issue. Very common around 6 weeks.

Thank you, if it's normal than I'll just wait for the eventual explosion Smile

Yes, completely normal provided that he's weeing fine (3-4 + wet nappies a day)

I was just worrying about same thing in my ds, 7 weeks! I'm reassured.
