breast feeling fuller, lumpy, 1 week after tt cut. normal?

the dts both had a tt cut 1 week ago. they have 1 side each for feeds. dt2's side has been feeling fuller the last few days and today is a bit lumpy. goes down after he feeds, but still feels fuller than before. dt2 seems as (un)happy as before (bit colicky), and I think is feeding with same frequency, but have never really monitored.

do I need to worry that he's eating less or am I making extra milk for some reason? should I express to relieve the pressure or will that make me make even more? dt2 is 12wo, is this just normal and unrelated to tt and will settle down?

didn't want to call a helpline over the xmas unless really urgent.

have been swapping breasts today, which has evened out the fullness, and reduced the lumpiness, although now they're both a bit tender. not sure whether to worry that dt2 appears to be drinking less, but he does seem ok in himself, so probably I shouldn't. am thinking breasts will sort themselves out in a couple of days.

Are his nappies normal?

Phone the helpline, that is what it is there for. People who man the lines have put their names down to do it and are sitting in their living room waiting for a call

The lumpiness is probably a bloct duct, so keep feeding and maybe change positions so all of your ducts are being accessed. You could also try massaging them under a warm shower - start from the top of your breast and work down towards the nipple.

Are your ds's nappies all green, or just the odd one? This can be a sign of not enough fatty hindmilk. Please don't panic though as it can be easily rectified.

There are various reasons why ducts can become blocked, again all of which can usually be easily sorted. Speak to someone in the know and they can help
