Sorry! Posting alot because everyone is so helpful here!

My baby is cluster feeding alot. DPs aunt came over and said baby's fussy because hes got wind from comfort sucking my breast and has been taking in air instead of milk.

My latch is fine and I have to break the suction to get him off, so theres not much 'air' going in. I also see milk in his mouth and he dribbles it when he pops off at the end, so he is getting it!

He hardly ever burps up when I wind him either, but he does have alot of farts. Could she be right?

Short answer is no.

BF babies can get wind and it is very common for them to have a lot of farts but this is not due to comfort sucking. If the latch is fine then the wind and farts will be caused by the process of your baby digesting the milk.

You don't say how old your baby is but comfort sucking and cluster feeding is usually caused by your baby trying to increase your supply to match their needs as they grow.

Also sometimes babies just need the closeness of comfort sucking and it's not a habit which needs to be broken.
