Don't know sorry Only, but hopefully this will bump it for you.

Have you tried one of the bfing helplines in the meantime?

I had a similar thing a few weeks ago (DD is almost 5 weeks) - very sharp pain on my left side, with some itchiness, and the nipple was pinker than usual. My GP said it was quite bad thrush (I had thought it was, as DD had some white spots in her mouth), and prescribed Daktarin cream for me, and gel for my DD. It's a lot less uncomfortable now.

Hope you can get an appointment, or maybe your midwife can make a diagnosis and prescribe you something to help?

I have a similar thing, feels kind of dry itchy, but isn't, HV told me thrush would spread to baby's mouth and other nipple.

I get this from time to time, I think it is related to latch. I don't think I have thrush as I have had it before and I am pretty sure it would spread quickly to the other side. I find when I feed lying down that the latch is not so good - have you been very careful each feed to get it right?
