Can anyone recommend a sling that i can bf my baby in? I'm a bit nervous about feeding in public and my dh suggested i could get one of these any feed whilst walking round shops etc and no one would be the wiser. Is that true??

I'm going to feed DC2 in a ring sling (never bothered learning with DD because I liked lounging on the sofa!). There are some great pics and videos on how to do it here. I still used my ring sling with DD up until she was nearly 2, then I got too pregnant and knackered, so they are quite versatile and long lasting.

Try looking here or on here for loads of info. I presume you have also seen the sling thread on MN? Loads of experienced sling wearers will be able to give you advice on there. I'd recommend trying one out/borrowing one etc before buying to make sure you find the right sort for you... I think some places hire them out.

I could feed small babies while walking in a stretchy wrap like a kari-me. For 2 months plus, I'm finding ring slings quite useful for privacy. I haven't managed hands free walking around whilst feeding (big pendulous breasts don't help), but if I am baby wearing, then sit down to feed, I can do so whilst holding the babies in their slings, with all that sling material available to keep me covered up. but do try and borrow some to try out first to see what works for you - is there a slingmeet in your area?
