poo question...

ds (18 weeks and ebf) has got a stomach bug.

he's thrown up huuuuge amounts quite forcefully within 30 mins of every feed since last night, except for a feed at 6am which stayed down. he is feeding less than usual but stil having a small feed every three hours-ish.

he has just done a poo which was yellow as usual but really sticky and quite solid - is this normal if they have a stomach upset?

he is having wet nappies and seems perfectly perky though a little more sleepy than usual.

(oh and as an aside - does bf make me less likely to get it as i am producing antibodies for him or will that only work if i drin my own bm? i don't have TIME to be ill )

I would seek advice from your HV or GP as I think excessive vomiting that is out of character for your LO might need investigating. I don't know if you're less likely to get it with BF though, fingers crossed for you Smile

The more solid poo may well be because he is dehydrated. You need to be really careful with babies and hydration - I'd seek advice from HV or out of hours doctor just to be safe
