Question re sterilising...

Hi,
Dd is 13 months and is fed with a mixture of breast and bottle... I use a steriliser for her bottles only but was wondering when do you stop needing to sterilise bottles? We don't have a dishwasher so everything is washed by hand if that makes a difference...

Any suggestions? When did you stop sterilising?

The advice I was given for DD#1 (now 4) is that you need to continue sterilising for as long as you use bottles. I think it has something to do with the teats and tiny amounts of milk being left in the holes.

I stopped sterilising at 12 months, the bottles went in the dishwasher, teats and all!

I think the official advice is that you sterilise until 12 months.

I stopped sterilising at about 11/12 months with both dds. I don't have a dishwasher either.
