I think DS has just weaned

Last night for the first time ever, he let me put him to bed without a feed. Then it was the same tonight.

I'm not sure I'm ready I mean, don't I get some warning or something?

And he isn't 2 til next week, what will the WHO say

He will go to bed for DH without a feed, obviously. But not me. He hasn't had a feed since Thursday

It does indeed sound like he has weaned!
I would like to say congratulations, but you don't sound entirely happy.

Looking on the positive side, you have BF him for almost two years! That is a really long time and you are lucky.
Even better, he has weaned himself without a fuss or any difficulties. That is far better than you wanting to wean him and struggling to get him to give it up.

It sounds like everything has gone wonderfully smoothly for you!

I'm not unhappy as such, just a little sad because I didn't see it coming, IYKWIM. But I wanted to feed until he self weaned so what will be, will be.

I have just dug out my old thread from when he was new and feeding was terrible,here So I cannot believe we got this far!

Tiktok - if you are reading, many thanks, I had some bloody fab advioe and support from you and others other the last couple of years - I am now a Mother Supporter with the ABM and hoping to do the BFC training next year. Am trying to quietly spread good practice among my fellow HCPs too.

I read your post and thought, hmm! lucky you! But then the other night DS nearly went to bed without a feed, which is slightly my goal at the moment, and I felt all panicky thining, oh I didn't know the last feed was The Last One!

Your DS sounds happy and easy with his weaning- which is great. And I'm sure the WHO police will forgive you!
