hi

i'm using SMA hungry baby at the moment but i am thinking of changing to aptamil as my LO seems to get a lot of belly ache during a feed.

has anyone had this problem?

how do you go about switching does it have to be gradual?

what age is your lo and how much is your lo taking? Hungry baby is harder to digest and can cause tummy problems, constipation, etc. What made you switch from first milk to hungry milk?

p.s. I swapped from aptamil to cow and gate with no problems

We swapped formula a few times as DS2 didn't poo for a week when he had his 1st bottle of SMA (was BF for 6 months). We then tried another one which he didn't seem to like and then aptamil which he loved.

We just switched and tried the new brand for a few days.

i thought it would help her sleep better - this hasnt happened and she does seem to have the symptoms you described and doesnt sleep any better.

I heard aptamil was the better formula

Hmm, they're all very similar due to legislation but Aptamil promotes heavily tp HPs so it's the one usually recommended by them (who says formula marketing doesn't work Grin).

It doesn't need to be gradual going away from HB to regular and it may well help your LOs tummy to switch.
