nipple sheilds

whats wrong with them, why are MW's so anti them?

another nipple shield fan here - fed DS1 for 17 months using them, now feeding DTs with them and on week 7. have never managed to get a good latch without them (though i havent seen a bf counsellor this time - its on my list...) - weight gain is good and have had supportive HVs both times in their use.

i use MAM/avent ones - i make a big tub full of milton sterilised water each day, put some in a small tupperware pot to carry around with me, and then i can put the shields in and out and thay are always sterilised.
