Unfortunately it depends on the baby, can be 2-3 days or 2-3 weeks or more. Have you tried giving more daytime feeds this might help?

My DD started waking every couple of hours from 12 weeks and has only started to sleep for longer stretches again in the last week (she is 21 weeks).

We tried everything from feeding more in daytime to giving 1 FF at 7pm which then turned into 2 FF in the evening which didn't work so we tried one FF at 7pm and 1 FF at 11am which still didn't work. I think eventually she just grew out of it.

that was the first time he slept through with a 5:30 wakening for feed now he is back up to 4 or 5 times a night. i started giving more solids but that didnt seem to help either, have now introduced formula as i would like to stop breast feeding.

I do sympathise it is so hard when they don't sleep. I'm starting weaning next week in the hope DD will consistently sleep through. Shes had a few good nights last week but last night she was up 4 times.

Unfortunately I think you are either blessed with a good sleeper or you're not.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you though that the extra formula buys you some sleep.
