breast size and stopping BFing

Thought I'd post this as am amused as both my SIL's currently BFing (they don't know each other) yet made comments that made me think/laugh!

SIL 1 is DH's sister. She is still BFing her DS2 who is 16 months although is is working full time. He still feeds 4+ times a day plus more at the weekend. She said - I don't want to stop as my breasts will disappear - she is currently a "B" cup but usually a "AA".

SIL 2 is my brother's wife. She is BFing her DD who is 4 months old. She has very very huge breasts which are much bigger than they usually are - she said she is going to stop as her breasts are bigger than her head (each one) and she can't stand it any more.

Has never been a consideration for me as mine normalish size both normally and when Bfing.

haha! I was really self conscious just after ds was born as they seemed so huge! (I'm used to them now though )

I thought my boobs would return to their pre-bf size. I was wrong, they have stayed a cup size larger than they were before - I've had to get rid of all my lovely bras. Sob.

I can understand your SIL 2. My boobs were huge when BFing. Went up to an H cup, now back to a much more normal cup size I am pleased to say.

If it is any help, I am currently feeding my DD2 (1yo) and my boobs are much smaller than they used to be

So it isn't always that they get bigger! :)

They were huge when she was tiny though.

I'm with your SIL 2. With all 3 of my DCs I went up to DD when BF, although I was only a B normally and I hated it. After I stopped they shrank down to an almost non existent floppy and hideous A, but a year after stopping feeding DC3 they are now miraculously plumped up to a C even though I have lost weight, so after everything I'm pretty happy (despite having to buy a completely new underwear draw as NOTHING fitted anymore from my many sizes pre and during the baby years!)
