breast lump

I've found a painless large soft lump in one breast. Found it 2 days ago. No other synptoms and its not red. Don't think it was there before. Have tried massaging it, hot baths, changing breast feeding positions but it hasn't changed. Have got a gp appointment on wed (none avaliable before then). Any tips ? A bit worried about it.

Saying 'don't worry' is easier for those without the issue so I won't.

All I will say is that the vast majority of lumps (including mine) turn out to be nothing sinister so try to think positive.

That doesn't mean you won't be referred to hospital though so don't be alarmed if the doctor says that's what they want to do.

I have found a lump this evening too. I am putting a heat pad on it and going to massage it. It's near where I had a blocked duct the other week in the areola, so am assuming it's another. If yours is large, do you not think you would have noticed it sooner if it was anything awful - ie. it takes a long time for anything sinister to grow so you would surely have noticed it before now if you have been bfing.
