Nipping

My ds2 is 12 months.

Whenever he's been able to, he nips me either on the tummy, side or the breast whilst feeding. It's like lots and lots of tiny little nips using both hands.

It's weird and painful.

Obviously I stop him each time but he just starts up again - it's seems to be 'his' thing! Why is he doing it - is there a reason? I'm just curious.

You mean he pinches? My DS does this sometimes. I don't know if it's because he's discovering his fingers more. I usually hold his hand if he starts or say no. Not sure it makes a difference! DS is 13 months BTW

I guess he probably does it for the same reason my DD tries to shove her entire hand in my mouth and pull out my tongue.
Annoying aint it?

My 9 month old DS does this. It hurts sometimes

Don't know why he does it, maybe as Iggly says they are finding out about their fingers more.

Not sure how to stop it.
