Biting baby!

DD is 10 months and BF. She only just got some teeth (3 at once) and bites sometimes whislt feeding. Not every time, but probably once or twice a day.

I don't know how to stop her! I tried firmly saying 'no' whilst making eye contact, and breaking the latch, and she laughed.

Any tips?

Yeah, phone one of the bfing helplines Smile. My DC1 did this at 7 months and after putting up with it for a little while I gave the NCT Breastfeeding Helpline a call. The information the bfing counsellor gave me helped me to stop the biting straightaway.

Am not in the UK!

Can someone give me a little info, if they have the time? Please?

Sorry pasamead. Don't know if the info is the same now as my problem was about six years ago.

They suggested I fed lying down as apparently it can be harder to bite. Did this for a couple of days and the biting stopped.

Have a look at kellymom's info. Ds is bf now otherwise I'd sort you out for a link.
