12 week old......routine gone to pot!

After many weeks of demand breast feeding and 20 minute naps (if we were lucky) we finally thought we'd cracked it when a few weeks ago we managed to get dd into a 3 hourly "routine", feed play for about a bit then down for a nap for about hour and a half. She hit 12wks last week and seems to have reverted back to her 4 week old self! Hardly napping and wanting to be breast fed to sleep, messing on the breast then wanting feeding again an hour later. To add to this I had her weighed today and she hasn't put anything on for a week despite gaining at least 8oz a week since birth (she did have a cold last week though). Any suggestions as to why this has happened and how to get back on track? DD1 has just started school and with school runs etc some sort of routine is a must.

It's probably a growth spurt. I think all you can do is go with the flow until it passes unfortunately

compo - so this is probably her way of "upping" my milk production do you think?

i agree with compo, shes probably going through a growth spurt and thats why she feeding more often, are you familiar with cluster + dream feeding?
give feed at 6pm, then again at 8pm. put little one to bed then as you go to bed yourself (say 11ish) get dd up whilst still asleep and latch her on whilst asleep, it may take a minute or 2 for her to get going, when shes had enough put her back down, no need to wind as shouldnt have gulped any air.
theory is that accumulated calories help to sleep longer. This from the baby whisperer + worked for me.

Growth spurt. Give her a fortnight and she'll be doing something else.
