Hi
my little one is over 6 months, do I still need to boil the tap water to mix the feeds?

I always keep cold boiled water in fridge and can make up a bottle v quickly - Add 2.5oz boiling water 0.5oz cold water, add the powder, shake and then add 3oz cold water. Milk is at perfect temperature and this takes only a minute from when the kettle boils.

That method should be suggested and explained somewhere on the box as it is far more realistic sounding to someone with a crying newborn.

Although the cartons may be expensive for everyday use they are significantly cheaper than the coffee you may buy to sit down and feed when out and about. That was the way I looked at it when I was doing a bit of ff.
very small amounts of bacteria can multiply rapidly in the right environment, the majority of the time you'd probably get away with it but what if you don't, personally I wouldn't take the risk.
