Exercising while breastfeeding - lactic acid in the milk????

I heard that you should wait a certain amount of time after exercising before breastfeeding because the lactis acid can build up in the milk and upset the babies tummy. Anyone know how much time you should wait?

Depends on the individual mum and baby and on your fitness level--but from what I researched recently, you have to work out pretty hard, say up to 80% of your maximum heart rate, to produce enough lactic acid to bother a baby. It'll have gone within a couple of hours, but to be on the safe side either feed beforehand, or express some for later. HTH

More info on kellymom - sounds like you should be fine to exercise and feed. Kellymom a fantastic site, btw
