Abidec vitamin drops

Hi, I asked my HV about vitamin drops for my 6 month old and she recommended Abidec ones. I just got some and on reading the leaflet see that they contain peanut oil. I know that you're not supposed to give any nuts to babies for ages in case of allergy. Do you think they'll be OK to use, (I'm nervous now even though we've got no allergies in the family) Thanks, Clare

if there is no history of allergies then peanut products can be given from 6 months (not whole ones as they are a choking risk). That said, this is what the abidec website says:

Abidec Multivitamin Drops contain
peanut oil. Could my child have an
allergic reaction?

Abidec Multivitamin Drops do contain
peanut oil. But during the refinement
process, the protein is removed from
the oil. It?s this protein that holds the
potential allergen. So, it is unlikely
there will be an allergy risk from
peanut oil when you give your
children Abidec Multivitamin Drops.

Thank you so much - I'll try and give her some later.
