Nursery and breastfeeding

DD will be going to nursery three days a week when she is 1 and I am considering extended/ natural term breastfeeding. She is currently 10.5 mo and is a little and often feeder.

I'm unsure whether this is compatible with nursery attendance. Has anyone got experience of this? Was it a success or did it mean the end of bf for you?

I've had several people say that I have to start reducing her feeds now so she will be fine at nursery, I just assumed that dd will have cows milk/ water during the day and bf at home the rest of the time. Is that right, or am I setting myself up for lots of trouble?

You should be fine. At that age, your supply will adjust, and as long as she has milk morning and night, you should both be fine.

Thank you, I thought that might be the case but people have been trying to give me 'advice' and it made me doubt myself. I can stop worrying now.

Done that with both DCs, DS is now 3 1/2 and DD is 14 months (been going to nursery 3 days a week since 11 months) and both are still bf happily.

I am a CM and used to have a parent pop in at lunchtime to BF her DD.
