My baby is 4 months old and ebf. I feel like Im struggling to fill him up towards the end of the day. My breast feel empty and he is sucking and sucking in a very fussy way until I'm quite sore.
Also I have had a cold that I can't shake for about 6 weeks now and feel generally run down and tired a lot of the time amd Im anemic.
Would it be a good idea to give him formula for his bedtime feed to fill him up for the night? If so would this help me to get a bit of my energy back and feel well again?

Ooh while I remember Bees I found this link about weaning on another thread. Not relevant to your post I know but I think you'll find it interesting!

I'm really going now! But before I do, Bees this thread is right up your street! I know you have strong opinions on the subject! Winkwww.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/1080159-in-thinking-that-lots-of-you-must-have-had-surprise-pregnancies-which-were-actually-secretly-deliberate

Not reported anyone, have been out since reading your message. Please get your facts straight before accusing!

Sorry Sleep, you were the only person to post between me posting and my message being deleted. At least you know where your judgey pants are - I'm wearing them! Blush again!

'salright. No offence taken. Have been out pretending to be middle class, drinking tea and eating cake with the girls. Smile

Seems like that's what everyone except me is doing today! I've had the whole day to myself and done nothing but hang out the washing and rather unsuccessfully ridicule my sister on Mumsnet! (in my defence I'm 39 weeks pg!) Am becoming lonely and bitter!

Seriously, any advice for my sis, please keep it coming! She has been an absolute trouper feeding a very hungry baby after an awful birth. She deserves very loud applause and as much daytime telly as she can watch (a major plus of ebfing your DC1 if you ask me!)

Agree that Bees is doing a fantastic job, just wish I could help her more with the Anaemia and know what was causing her breast pain and how to solve it.

Perhaps someone will be along soon who knows a bit more.

Bees, have you thought about starting a thread about your breast pain?
