19weeks suddenly unsettled and sicky?!

My DD is 19weeks 3days and breastfed. 2 weeks ago started being sick (6 times so far today) which is not normal for her. I wrote it off as just one of those things they do but 4 days ago she also started being unsettled and making straining type noises a lot and tensing up especially in her bouncey chair (pooing normally so no prob there!).

Spoke to hv who doesnt think anything is wrong but its horrible to see her unsettled and obviously uncomfortable. Getting her weighed tomorrow so will actually see a hv.

Anyone had similar experience?! Thanks :-)

She has a bug. She'll get over it. Don't worry they all get this sort of thing. As long as she is still taking in breastmilk and is lively, don't worry too much :)

My DD had a virus recently, at about 17 weeks old, and the doc told me to keep checking that she was having wet nappies a day (lack of poop not a problem for a while), was a good skin colour all over (not blue or mottled at all), was still responsive and not floppy or lethargic at all.

It was really miserable though, he said the best thing you can do is keep bfeeding her, it will keep her fluids up and be a comfort too.

It might be an idea to see your GP if it continues though, my doc said if it lasted more than 5 days to go back and see him again, but she had sickness and diarrhoea too so maybe more worried about dehydration perhaps.
