Thrush and Fluconazole

The Gp has given me fluconazole 200mg loading dose then 50g four times a day for 10 days. the MW wrote him a note asking him for 100mg four times a day but he felt this was too high a dose.

I'm just hoping the lower dose will work. Any advice.

Give it a try and see how it goes.

My GP would only give me a 150mg loading dose and nothing else - has to fight for that - but it did the trick alongside cream for my nipples (sorry can't remember the name, started with D) and treatment for DD.

Oh and remember to wash everything that could have spores on it, adding vinegar to the wash is good for killing off.

I was on 150 mg for 28 days. Did the job. Took my bf group leader 2 phone calls to lactation cons in hosp & phone calll to doc to get the script.

Thanks guys.I'm really bemused about why some docs seem so reluctant to prescribe it.
