even after feeding. I can't seem to make it go away completely and am now being hypochondriachal that I have mastitis. I feel a bit ill and like I might come down with something (but so does everyone else around me). This has been for 24 hours now.

have a look at kellymom's info on blocked ducts and mastitis. Sounds like you have a blocked duct which could develop into mastitis. Do oyu feel fluey (achy, shivery, high temp, nausea)? IME these symptoms come on very suddenly. Probably best to call your GP if you think it could be mastitis

yes i've done a lot of googling and kellymom but I can't work out what the difference is. It feels harder and engorged but only on one part. I don't feel v ill just like I could be getting ill IYSWIM.

Even with massaging and lots of feeding I cant seem to 'unblock' anything. And I could be imagining it but if feels like DD is feeding much longer than normal - like she can't get enough of the right stuff to be satisfied. But she doesnt seem unhappy either...

there is no obvious dot either and the area of hardness is quite wide

is it painful and red? If you're not feeling very ill then probably not mastitis. I'm struggling with a very similar thing at the mo, whole top half of breast is hard even after feeding. I do have mastitis though, it's bright red and I've had shivers and aches. It can take several days to shift a blockage IME but i'm getting a bit stressed about this one - had it since sunday night.

Hope they both clear soon! I'm trying feeding in different positions to see if it'll drain the breast better but no luck so far

me too - i really hope the neighbours can't see me trying the dangle method! And I hope you get some results too - from your other thread I see you've really struggled with this.
