Breast pump advice

Stupid question. I'm sure I've read the answer here before. I start back to work on Wednesday :(. I've got a good freezer stash, dd takes a bottle well, she's staying with her dad who is very supportive and is as keen as me on keeping her ebf. She's 23 weeks. I've made arrangements with work re being able to express every 2-3 hours and store the milk safely. I'm just wondering what to do with the pump after an expressing session. I have a sink in my office. Should I get a container and put it in Milton each time? Should I wash it with hot soapy water? I thought someone here previously linked to a section on kellymom re this but I can't find it.

Thanks

you can leave it for 24 hours no prob. I used to pop it in a sandwich bag in fridge and wash it in hot soapy water when I got in.

I started when she was 18weeks and got away with expressing just twice, with feeds just before leaving and as soon as I got in, so yo shouldn't need to do it every 2hrs, hopefully just every 3 if you feel the need (depends on commute time I guess).

As Thandeka says, just chuck it in the fridge inbetween session.
