I have a manual pump, but find it rather irritating to sit there pumping away, unable to do much else (even struggle to read the threads on here, lol)

Who has an electric one, and would you recommend I get one?? The manual one I have is the Tommee Tippee one btw

Will be watching. Smile I have an Avent manual one. Would anyone recommend the Avent electric one since I'm used to the mechanism? Is it similar?

get the ameda lactaline double electric. you won't be sorry

Had a manual with DS and invested in a Medela Swing this time round - cannot recommend highly enough; it's quiet, efficient and doesn't give me RSI.

I have both medela swing and ameda lactaline. Both fab.

For double pumping speed I prefer the lactaline but I do find I get a slightly better yield with the swing but it takes longer!

Have read somewhere I think the avent electric is dire- but I may be getting it mixed up with the tommy tipee one. All I know is mumsnetters reccomends ameda lactaline and medela swing and so I went with them (well one was given to me- am not a pump fiend!) and I haven't been sorry- although I also had hospital grade electric pump hired from NCT and that was AWESOME- but yeah £1000 for a pump is a bit excessive!

Big up here for the Medela Swing too. I replaced my troublesome Tommy Tippee one which was rubbish, and haven't looked back since using the Medela.
