How much expressed milk to give?

For the sake of my sanity, OH does one of the feeds in the night so I can sleep in spare room and get decent block of sleep.

We try to make this feed expressed milk, but sometimes when I havent had the time during the day we give formula.

I was thinking though, does the quantity of expressed milk need to be the same quantity as I would give of formula (150ml?) Since it's completely different stuff, can I get away with less breast milk? Would make it more likely for me to find the time in the day to express a smaller amount. Or since breast milk is digested quicker, should they be having a larger quantity? It's easy enough to tell when he's full up when he's taking it direct from my boob but no idea what sort of quantity he's getting for comparison.

Read instructions on the formula contaniner. Baby will tell you whether is enough or not-
but it will affect the way your milk get produced if you are not consisten with the feeding times, which means you will be more sore. But what ever makes your life that much easear!!

It's really about how much he wants at that feed so could you just work out how much he usually takes and express 1 oz or so more than that? It will be rather self defeating if he finishes the bottle and comes off crying for more.
