avent steriliser - how long should it take?

I've been lent an Avent steriliser to sterilise my breast pump. It's a white cylindrical one, probably about 3 years old. Can anyone tell me how long it should take, and how much water I should put in the reservoir? I had one about 4 years ago and seem to remember about 50ml. When I use that amount it seems to be really quick - like less than 5 mins?

You put in 90ml if it's the same as mine. The more weight the less time it takes. Should take about 8 mins though.

Thanks KD - what do you mean by weight? I've tested it with about 60ml and it definite takes less than 5 mins. Bit worried it won't be properly sterile then.
Hmmm?

It says on the leaflet that if it's full it will take less time so that would be 6 bottles, lids etc. So I think 5 mins is probably about right thinking that a breast pump is quite weighty.

Mine runs less when it needs de-scaling. Citric acid with a bit of water works best, but failing that lemon juice does the job.
