Should I give up?

After 5 days of sickness and increasing dehydration last week I've lost most of my milk supply. DD2 is 20wks and we had only just started substituting a feed with 6oz FF in the mornings (when I will be working soon). I had topped up with 1-2oz of FF for a while at night. I was more than happy with mixed feeding but didn't want to give up. Now a 20 mins feed only satisfys for an hour or so when previously 3-4 hours. I'm only managing 3 times a day.

Am I being selfish doing this when she is clearly happy and more satisfied with FF?

Of course you are not being selfish. Bf is giving her lots of benefits and you have done brilliantly.

Hopefully someone more knowledgable will be able to help but i would be surprised if your supply was low as a result of sickness actually.

It could be that your baby is going through a growth spurt or just wants more milk.

Have a look at this

As you know, using formula will decrease your supply so if there is a problem in thAt regard, it might be worth ditching the formula for a while to get your supply back up again.

Hope this is of some help.
