Breastfeeding makes me feel sick (really)

I'm due baby no.3 soon and can't stop thinking about having to breast feed and how hard I find it.
I get stomach cramps and feel really sick (though have only ever been sick a couple of times) is there anything I can do to make this easier - I normally only manage to stand it for about 10 days but would be a lot easier if I could do it rather than make bottles etc.
Help !Confused

The stomach cramps/ sick feeling are prob due to the afterpains of your womb going back to size? Was is worse with DC2?

It gets SO much easier.... if you can do the first 10 days then you can do long term. If someone had told me how much it would hurt and how it was a short term thing I would have had a bit more faith.

In the end I bf DS for 10 months and it really was easy for me once everything had settled down.

If you feel that strongly could you not express and give bottles of ebm for 10 days.
Your happiness is important as well. Admittally this is a lot of work and its far easier if you can make breastfeeding work.

Is it the stomach cramps from your uterus contracting that makes you feel sick or is it the act of breastfeeding itself.

I enjoy breastfeeding, but I had hideous afterpains when breastfeeding dd during the early days. It did get better.

I felt it was most unfair that the midwife would not leave me a can of gas an air for establishing breastfeeding.

I get a wave of feeling sick when I get let down but it passes very quickly. Not sure if this is what you are experiencing?
