Becoming obsessed with finding a solution to breast leakage

I've just bought a new, very expensive superking mattress, so that is part of the reason for my obsessive. Also though I remember breast leakage at night being the worst part of the first few weeks.

I posted a while ago on this and had this excellent suggestion: www.boobybibs.com.au/

However I sent them an email and it bounced back, so I'm reluctant to place an order.

Does anyone have any other suggestions. I looked at lilypadz but have heard that they could cause mastitis as they stop the flow of milk.

I used one of these
Meant that baby sick and dribbles etc didn't get to the mattress either!

mattress protector sheet is the way forward - and wearing a bra at night plus some pretty absorbent breastpads (I always found johnsons the best).

mattress protector - huggies and pampers do disposable ones. have used lilypads too, never suffered from mastitis but did get rash if it was hot eg in middle of summer.

I just slept on a towel - although that was because of baby sick more than anything else.

Chicco breast pads def. in a light sleep bra / crop top.
I bought 2 x white cotton crop tops this time just to hold in breast pads - the above really work .
I have MASSIVE leak issues but never on the bed .
If your desperate use a cut up cheap nappy at night . I save the chicco pads for going out now as i know if i get a let down i can carry on without worry instead of mad dash home with elbows in hands !

Other useful thing at night if you leak a lot from the other side while feeding is a breast shell (non ventilated ). Absolute godsend. I sterilize them and fill one at every feed-add to bottle in fridge and freeze. Freezer soon fills up with no need to express. Or tip into ice cube tray-each cube is an ounce. Great for weaning etc.

With the breast collection shell you wont leak at all - i think i got my last pair from amazon-medula or something .
HTH x

Sorry ddint mean you wont leak at all literally-rather you will leak into the breast collection shell and why waste good milk-gather it up x

I have one off these www.babykind.co.uk/buppypad.htm

Mattress protector, it's really good and has the added benifit off being warm to.
