Hello

I'm planning to breast feed when my baby comes next Jan... I have 2 questions. Firstly, how many bursing bras will I need?

And secondly - I'm going to get measured properly in a shop (maybe bravissimo) - but I reckon i'm going to need a 48C bra.... anyone got any ideas who makes them in my odd size????

thanks :)

Mothercare cannot fit bras, I was told I was a 42DD, but on trying bras I am actually a 36F!

I would suggest getting some of the flexibly sized bras from carriwell or bravado at 38 weeks or so (make sure you have a bit of growing room, I went up about 1.5 cup sizes), then get properly measured when things settle properly, after 2-4 weeks, I went up then down a bit.

I had an Emma Jane one I hated, very bulky, and several hundred Mothercare basic ones, which were fine, and then splashed out on some very, very cheap Hotmilk ones from a brand clearance website.

The hotmilk ones have been brilliant. Really, really nice and kept their shape even when machine washed (not supposed to be) and they are just nice to wear and use.

It's ££ though full price, I know.

I would recommend at least 2-3 to rotate around washes. I would even recommend a nursing bra tanks which are also a great option to have around. Glamourmom makes wonderful nursing bra tanks - the Full Bust Long Top supports up to 48 I cups so it will give you the comfort/support you are looking for!
