Teething?

My 17 week old LO has turned into a different child over the last week or so. She's been dribbling a lot and putting her hand in her mouth for a few weeks but she's now gone off her feed. Some feeds she'll take 6 oz, others she'll only take 2oz, whereas before she was polishing off 6-8oz every bottle. She's also wanting fed at different intervals, sometimes just after a couple of hours, up until now it's been roughly every 4 hours. The last 2 or 3 days though she's started arching her back when I'm trying to feed her. She's also started getting very grumpy and crying a lot, something I'm not used to as she has always been a happy, cheery little girl who rarely cried. I've tried Dentinox and Bonjela, I even tried Calpol last night but nothing seems to work. I can't give her teething granules as they have lactose in and she has a milk allergy.

Has anyone else had these problems with teething? I'm starting to worry something else is bothering her. Fortunately I'm seeing her paediatrician on Wednesday regarding her milk allergy so will speak to him then.

partly a bump and partly just wanted to say ime feeding and general mood are both affected by teething. But also just quite changeable, teething or no!

Please don't worry, it sounds pretty (confusingly) normal to me, hopefully someone will be along with better advice soon! Smile

my goodness, this is almost identical to my baby! I think it may be teething, too - it's the chewing of the fist and trying to chew everything (including my chin) that makes me think this. do let me know what yor paediatrician says.
