Cluster feeding - which breast next?!

My 5 week old has taken to cluster feeding for about 5 hours in the evening.

I'm just a bit confused whether I should be alternating breasts between feeds as she'll feed for 2 - 15 mins, 1 - 4 times a hour. Or should I feed from the same breast for say 1 hour before switching?

I'm conscious she might not be getting much hind milk with these little feeds.

Any advice?

When my daughter does this I feed from one until she seems frustrated ( she's pulls away, but the looks for the breast again like she's just not happy with what shes getting) then i switch to the other and she settles in that one for a while, I have no idea if this is right but it has worked for us so far! . I would find it hard to time each side as sometimes she is haooy on one side for ages and other times she seems done in about 5 minutes, but then takes the other fine .

Haven't got any advice November, but was just wondering why you thought she might not be getting enough hindmilk. Is she gaining weight? Does she have green poos?

You might want to take a look at what Kellymom says about Cluster Feeding.

General rule is if they want to feed again within 2 hours of last being fed, use the boob they were last on.

But the caveat is if you put them on that boob and they seem frustrated, fine to offer the other boob at that point.

IME, feed from whichever one feels less chewed. Sad
