I think this is my issue

It is painful - boob and nipple

DD is 1 so not a latching issue I don't think

So, shall I pop it, if that is even possible. It is really tender

TIA

I had one of these the day before DS's first birthday. Hurt like hell. I'd had two before without realising what they were and DS had cleared them during feeds, but this one was having none of it. I read this site and popped it with a sterilised pin, which also hurt like hell but relieved the pressure, and then fed DS loads and loads for the next few days until it went. I think it got a little bit infected because it was monstrously painful the day after I popped it (and totally ruined DS's first birthday for me), so if it ever happened again I'd try hot compresses etc. first and then go to my GP and let her deal with it if it didn't pop on its own. Sympathy though - they're grim.
