Is lemsip safe whilst BF?

this may be a dumb question but I know you're not supposed to take it when pregnant. My 20 week old is excl bf but I can feel a lurgie coming on and want to fight it with lemsip! Will anything nasty pass into the milk?

Thanks for any advice.

I think it's no good, mainly because the decongestant can dry your milk up I think. But check the Breastfeeding Network website - their drug information sheets are fab.

yeah wss, it contains decongestants doesn't it?

some pepole have no problem with it, others find a marked reduction in milk supply.

depends which one, decongestant is a no but paracetamol and vitamin c is fine

some brands are ok - read the label

Thanks all, think I'll give it a miss just in case.
