Can I express more breast milk into a bottle already containing some breast milk from the day before (stored in the fridge)?

I don't get the chance to sit and express much due to baby feeding a lot so when I do express I only fill about 50 -70 ml. So as long as I use milk within 4 days of the first expressing session will this be ok?

I was advised that could continue to top up a bottle through out the day along as its used within 24 hours of the first lots of milk being expressed...

But that was a HV so not sure how accurate the is IYKWIM

yes, as far as i understand it that's fine, just treat the whole bottle as if it's the oldest bit, iyswim. so as you say, use it within 4-6 days of the first milk being expressed.

you can't edit a message, sorry!
