Abidec

Anyone using it?

I've been prescribed it for ds but noticed it has peanut oil. Seems strange for an allergic baby.

the abidec website says this:

Abidec Multivitamin Drops contain
peanut oil. Could my child have an
allergic reaction?

Abidec Multivitamin Drops do contain
peanut oil. But during the refinement
process, the protein is removed from
the oil. It?s this protein that holds the
potential allergen. So, it is unlikely
there will be an allergy risk from
peanut oil when you give your
children Abidec Multivitamin Drops.

My ds1 is perscribed abidec. He is peanut allergic and has never had a problem. He has been taking it for 6 years.

I was surprised to see abidec had been added to 4 m/o ds prescription. It wasn't mentioned in his review with the dietician.

He's allergic to milk/ possibly soy. I don't quite know why it's popped up.
