leaving 14monther for a night

Hi - am contemplating leaving DS for a night soon, but am wondering whether I might run into problems with engorgement.
In the earlier days this was more of a problem but as time has gone on, missing out the day feeds hasn't really caused any problems.
Baby is a big night-feeder and am really worried about waking up with sore boobs.

Can anyone reassure me, or should I expect I will probably need to express (probably hand express as threw the pump away ages ago when it broke down!)

I left my 13month DD for the night - just last night in fact. She normally feeds last thing before bed and then a couple of times in the night, and then once in the morning upon waking.

I left her after the bedtime feed and then only fed her again this evening's bedtime feed. I wasn't engorged at all but DD was quite cross in the night! If you get a little engorged you could just hand express a little to relieve, but would probably be OK I'd think by now.

Thanks Flopem, especially for reassurance about lack of engorgement.

Feels really weird the thought of leaving him. Tis only for a night though, gonna have to do it some time I guess!

Want to start dropping the night feeds so I guess this would be a good chance to see how it goes.
